Scholarships

Scholarships for undergraduate international students are determined by the Undergraduate Admissions Office and are based on academic merit. In order to renew your scholarship, you need to enroll for a minimum of 12 credit hours and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher. These awards carry with them the expectation that students will maintain a minimum academic standard (3.0 grade point average per term) and make satisfactory progress toward their degrees. Students in need of more funds should contact their graduate department coordinator.

RIT Graduate Assistantships are offered to full-time matriculated graduate students to serve as teaching, research, or administrative assistants. Graduate Assistants receive wages (determined by the department making the appointment) in exchange for work performed. Many graduate assistants also receive tuition remission (i.e. tuition support) in addition to receiving wages for assistantship duties. Students seeking more information about a possible appointment should contact their department graduate department coordinator.

Lastly, overseas students can also strive to earn an average of $1,500 per year by working part-time on campus. The positions can be applied through the Student Employment Office.
