University of Sioux Falls is a private institution that was founded in 1883. Its traditional motto of is Culture for Service, that is, it seeks to foster academic excellence and the development of mature Christian persons, for service to God and humankind in the world. In fall 2013, the University enrolled a total of 1,100 undergraduate students and 308 graduate students.

The University of Sioux Falls is a Christian, liberal arts university located in Sioux Falls, in the U.S. state of South Dakota. Its mission is to foster academic excellence and the development of mature Christian persons for service to God and humankind in the world.USF offers 37 undergraduate majors, 9 pre-professional undergraduate programs and many graduate and adult-learning opportunities including accelerated nursing, degree completion program, education specialist, masters in business administration and in education, RN to BSN, and joint doctorate in leadership with the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. The Institution is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools ( USF also holds professional accreditation for specified degree areas of the institution to ensure program integrity and credibility.

USF also maintains membership in several consortia,including SD Association of Independent Colleges, Council of Independent Colleges, Association of SD Colleges and Universities, American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education , Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, and MINITEX, a consortium of libraries. USF's intentional learning environment is led by a faculty dedicated to developing "the whole person" and providing students opportunities to learn and thrive both inside and outside the classroom. Small class sizes and a 15:1 student-to-faculty ratio help facilitate such mentoring opportunities. Through transformative curriculum, monitored by an extensive assessment system to ensure positive student outcomes, and offerings like our Honors Program, January Interim service trips, study-abroad semesters and an annual Undergraduate Research Conference, students discover their career calling at USF. California State University, Northridge is a vibrant and global community located on 356-acres in the heart of Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley.

You can take advantage of the many support services, such as free tutoring, writing assistance, and health and wellness offerings. California State Northridge Athletics offers a full lineup of intercollegiate sports that provide high-level competition for student athletes and exciting, low-cost spectator opportunities for the entire community. In addition to intercollegiate sports, the university maintains a busy schedule of intramural and club sports that provide recreational opportunities for students regardless of athletic ability.
