University of New Hampshire is a public institution that was founded in 1866. It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 12,811, its setting is rural, and the campus size is 2,600 acres. It utilizes a semester-based academic calendar. The University of New Hampshire is a public university that combines the look and feel of a classic, New England liberal arts college with the breadth and opportunity of a major research university.The university is one of only nine land, sea and space grant institutions in the nation.UNH is the largest university in the state.
















Location & Facilities

UNH has a great location, nestled as it is in a small town, minutes away from the New Hampshire seacoast and an hour's drive from Boston, Portland, or the White Mountains. The main campus is in Durham, New Hampshire, United States. An additional campus is located in Manchester. With over 15,000 students, The University offers 2,000 courses in more than 100 majors taught by internationally recognized faculty dedicated to undergraduate teaching. Special programs include a strong undergraduate research program, honors program, and a wide range of opportunities for internships, study abroad, and national exchange experiences.

It is also home to a thriving art science including theatre, dance, music, and the visual arts. UNH has abundant extracurricular opportunities for students, including more than 200 student organizations, ranging from the outing club to political action to career and professional groups. There are dozens of club and intramural sports and fitness centers as well as 20 Division 1 intercollegiate teams. On-campus living remains a favored option with many residential choices: theme halls, small halls housing up to 45 students, to large halls with about 600 students.
