Overview

U.S. News & World Report ranks Rider in the top tier of northern regional universities offering master’s degrees. Princeton Review ranks Rider as "A Best 371 College" founded in 1865. As a united entity, Rider University is a student-centered institution firmly grounded in a continued standard of excellence that is the hallmark of the Westminster and Lawrenceville programs, regardless of discipline, across the entire academic spectrum. Over 4,400 undergraduate and 1,000 graduate students from 41 states, three US territories, and 77 countries. Location & Facilities

UThe university has two campuses in Lawrenceville and Princeton, N.J, within easy driving distance of both Philadelphia and New York City. It boasts of forty-three buildings, athletic fields, tennis courts, indoor swimming pool and lake on Rider’s 280-acre Lawrenceville Campus; 13 buildings on Westminster Choir College’s 23-acre campus in Princeton. Moore Library is home to more than 425,000 print volumes, 616,000 microforms, access to more than 51,000 periodical titles in a mix of print and electronic formats, and a wide variety of electronic research tools. Talbott Library, on the Princeton campus, supports the music curriculum of Westminster Choir College. The emphasis is on music, with holdings of more than 79,000 scores and music-related books, 200 current periodical titles in print, as well as access to over 51,000 periodical titles electronically, approximately 5,500 choral music titles in performance quantities and over 35,000 sound and visual recordings.
