Overview

Golden Gate University is a private institution founded in 1901. It was the first Northern California law school with an evening program and is one of the oldest law schools in the Western United States. A small, private school in the financial district of San Francisco that's designed for students who are also working adults, founded in 1901, GGU specializes in educating professionals through its schools of law, business, taxation, and accounting. Golden Gate University is primarily a post-graduate institution focused on professional training in law and business, with its smaller undergraduate programs linked to its larger graduate and professional schools.

Golden Gate University is located in the South of Market district, immediately south of the Financial District of downtown San Francisco, California. Below is a list of their current locations:

Many courses, as well as complete degree and certificate programs, are offered on fully online through GGU's nationally recognized Cyber Campus, which lets you take classes from anywhere in the world where there is Internet access. Because they have a variety of locations, even if your job or residence takes you outside of San Francisco, they are still nearby, providing you with the most advanced professional education. Golden Gate University offers degree programs with the busy professional in mind. And since all of the universities sites offer courses during the evenings and on weekends - in a variety of formats - you can still continue to work full or part-time while attending school. What's more students, if they are so inclined can pursue three degree programs, simultaneously.
The University is organized into following colleges/schools:
Edward S. Ageno School of Business
The Edward S. Ageno School of Business prepares students for managerial and professional careers in a broad range of business fields at the Bachelor's, Masters and doctoral levels. The other schools are:

The Bachelor of Arts in Management and Bachelor degrees have been designed to support a strong business curriculum while providing for generous transfer credit and prior learning experience opportunities.
In addition to the business core, the bachelor's degree programs include a comprehensive General Education program that will focus on writing and communication skills, critical thinking, quantitative skills, and the breadth of a liberal arts education with a business viewpoint.

Scholarships

Golden Gate University admission or financial aid counselor will happily help you discover funding sources. These could include:

Installment Payment Plans
Undergraduates may be automatically eligible for scholarship assistance based on their cumulative GPA of 2.75 and above. This is worth $500 to $2500 per semester depending on the number of enrolled units.

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Undergraduate Scholarship Application becomes available online.

Dec. 1, 2013

Application deadline for incoming freshman.

Mar. 1, 2014

Application deadline for transfer and current/continuing undergraduate students.

May 2014

Scholarship notifications are emailed to recipients.

Sept. 4, 2014

Fall semester begins. Scholarship monies are automatically applied to tuition bills 7-10 days prior to first day of class.

Fall 2014

Scholarship award recipients are contacted to write thank you letters to scholarship donors.

2014 Undergraduate Summer Application
The scholarship deadline for Summer 2014 is March 15, 2014.
IMPORTANT: You must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours each summer session to receive a scholarship for both sessions. You may receive a scholarship for one summer session if you are enrolled in at least 6 credit hours in that session.
