The University of Dundee (informally Dundee University, or simply Dundee, abbreviated as Dund ) is a public research university based in the city and Royal burgh of Dundee on the east coast of the central Lowlands of Scotland. It was founded in 1881. The University became an independent body in 1967, while retaining much of its ancient heritage and governance structure. Since its independence, the university has grown to become an internationally recognized Centre for research.
















Location & Facilities

Dundee is a campus university situated in the heart of a thriving city of Dundee. The city enjoys a spectacular scenic location on the estuary of the River Tay on the east coast of Scotland, with the Highlands to the north and St Andrews and Edinburgh to the south. All of Scotland's most important historic sites are within easy reach and the major cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh are just one hour train journey away. The campus boasts state-of-the-art teaching facilities, library, accommodation, sports and social areas. This helps to create a sense of community and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
