Overview

Durham is home to one of the country's top universities. The University of Durham is a collegiate research university. It was founded by an Act of Parliament in 1832 and granted a Royal Charter in 1837. It was one of the first universities to open in England for more than 600 years and is the third oldest university in England. Location & Facilities

Durham's college system allows a personal tutor to look after a student's academic progress and welfare. The University is known for its rich student-led activities and societies.
